The Puig Touring screen for the BMW R1300R has been developed with the main objective of significantly increasing rider torso protection, improving comfort on long journeys and at sustained speeds without compromising the motorcycle’s modern aesthetics.
Its design incorporates a central lower cut specifically engineered to ensure full compatibility with the R1300R’s front radar system. The upper surface, with a pronounced dome shape, effectively deflects airflow coming from the front area, reducing the pressure that directly impacts the rider’s chest.
From an aerodynamic standpoint, the screen has been carefully studied to optimize protection and minimize turbulence. When viewed from the side, the upper flip stands out, designed to redirect airflow sufficiently to eliminate the most disturbing turbulence, especially that generated around ear level.
The lower and lateral shapes integrate perfectly with the characteristic radar-equipped front of the BMW R1300R, diverting lateral airflow and fitting precisely around the headlight to achieve a harmonious and functional assembly.
As a distinctive detail, the clear, light smoke and dark smoke versions incorporate an inner screen print that conceals the mounting supports, providing a cleaner and more minimalist finish while preventing the visibility of the original plastic covers located at the rear of the screen.

The Puig Touring screen has undergone an exhaustive aerodynamic study demonstrating a significant improvement over the original screen. With the stock screen, the rider is subjected to an air pressure of 7.9 kg, while with the Touring screen this pressure is reduced to 1.3 kg, representing an 83% improvement, especially noticeable in the chest area.
This reduction in air pressure translates into greater riding comfort, reduced fatigue on long journeys and, consequently, improved safety and motorcycle control.
