The Puig-sponsored team shines at this past weekend’s ESBK
After a long break since April, the Spanish Superbike Championship returned in full force this past weekend at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya — and what better place than Montmeló, right at home.
Saturday was a brilliant day for Borja Gómez (#12), who claimed the Pole Andreani MHS of Barcelona, awarded to the fastest rider in SBK qualifying. Not stopping there, Borja also won Race 1, strengthening his lead in the overall standings.
His teammate, Javier Palomera (#57), wasn’t far behind. In the Stock1000 category, he also secured pole position and celebrated a fantastic victory on Saturday.
On Sunday, both riders kept up their dominance on track: Borja Gómez claimed another SBK victory, while Palomera repeated his win in Stock1000, completing a perfect weekend for Team Laglisse.
The excitement continues, as the ESBK heads straight into action again this coming weekend at the legendary MotorLand Aragón circuit.
