The second stop of the preseason
During the 16th, 17th and 18th of February, the second Moto GP Official Test took place at the Buriram circuit, in the northeast of the capital of Bangkok. This is a new circuit that is incorporated this season and that the riders tried for the first time.
With a total of 224 laps, Dani Pedrosa was the fastest setting the best time of 1'29'781 on the third day of the test. Marc Marquez made 271 laps in which he suffered a fall without problems. The current Moto GP champion marked his best time during the second day in 1'29'969, coinciding with his twenty-fifth birthday.
The HRC team has worked hard during these three days to learn about the new circuit and to develop the new RC213V motorcycle. Marquez and Pedrosa performed engine configuration, aerodynamic and chassis tests as well as testing new tire specifications with the high temperatures that the riders had to fight during the three days.
With the second Official Test completed, our riders have only one final stop in Qatar, where the last official pre-season Test will take place before the first race at the Losail circuit on the next March 18.
