The team sponsored by Puig celebrates another perfect weekend thanks to the Mallorcan rider.
Starting from seventh on the grid and showing a very competitive pace from the opening laps, Joan Mir (#36) approached the race with determination and composure. The Spaniard knew he couldn’t repeat Saturday’s mistake, when a crash took him out of contention while making a strong comeback.
As the laps went by, Mir climbed steadily through the field with firm, precise, and consistent riding. His effort paid off and, after an intense second half of the race, he crossed the finish line on the podium — a result that confirms Honda’s huge step forward this season.
After the race, a satisfied Mir stated: “The progress Honda has achieved in these 12 months is fantastic. I knew what was possible with this project and that’s why I signed for another two years. Thank you to my team and all of Honda’s engineers.”
The result in Sepang reinforces the excellent work done by the Honda HRC Team during the second half of the championship, proving that both the bike’s evolution and Mir’s confidence are starting to consolidate.
After this Malaysian round, Mir and the team will enjoy a week of rest and recovery before the final double-header of the season, which will bring an end to an incredible 2025 MotoGP World Championship.
The Portuguese Grand Prix will take place from November 7 to 9 at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, where Honda will aim to maintain its strong form and continue proving that hard work and belief in the project are paying off.
