JOAN MIR LEADS HONDA'S REVIVAL IN ARAGÓN

The MotoGP team sponsored by Puig secured its best result of the season at the Aragón GP despite a difficult Saturday.

Joan Mir (#36), from the Honda HRC Castrol team, achieved his best performance of the year on Sunday, finishing in a commendable 7th place, just behind Fermín Aldeguer.

After an unfortunate crash in Saturday’s sprint race, the Mallorcan rider bounced back with a solid and consistent performance in the main race. Despite starting from 12th position and facing physical fatigue, Mir managed his pace calmly and, under intense heat, made his way forward with determination, crossing the finish line less than 15 seconds behind the winner. This result marks his best showing of the season, improving on his previous finishes: 9th in Argentina and 10th in Silverstone.

After the race, Mir stated: “Finally we were able to finish the race with a respectable result. I don’t think I have ever felt like this for a seventh place! It shows the situation we have been in and I am really hoping that this is a turning point. We have to be happy with what we have accomplished and where we have come from.”

The next challenge for the Balearic rider will be at the legendary Assen circuit, where he will aim to confirm his recovery and continue climbing in the championship standings.
