Borja Gómez steps on the podium and Lucas Mahias sets the fastest lap
The Estoril circuit witnessed an intense weekend of racing, where the Puig-sponsored teams —Team Laglisse and GMT94 Yamaha— showcased their potential across various championship categories.
Team Laglisse came close to pole on Saturday in the Stock category thanks to an excellent performance by Borja Gómez (#12), who qualified second. On Sunday, Gómez confirmed his strong form with a second-place finish, stepping onto the podium. In Moto2, Joan Palomera (#57) achieved his first top 10 in the category.
Meanwhile, the GMT94 Yamaha team also shone in the second Supersport race held on Sunday. Lucas Mahias (#94) narrowly missed the podium with a fourth-place finish but claimed the Pirelli Trophy for the fastest lap of the race, showing consistent pace throughout the weekend.
Both teams return with confidence and motivation for the upcoming rounds of the championship.
